LAPLAND INSIGHT
What to Pack for Your Trip to Lapland
Thoughtful essentials for Arctic comfort and unforgettable moments
Packing for a stay at Glass Resort is all about comfort, warmth, and being ready for the unique moments that await. Whether you’re soaking under the stars in your private Hot Spring Spa, setting off for a husky safari, or simply watching the sky change through your glass walls, you want to come prepared.
Each season brings its own rhythm and mood, and with just a few well-chosen essentials, you’ll be perfectly prepared to enjoy it all. Here’s a guide to help you pack with ease and step into your stay feeling both relaxed and ready.

For Winter Visits (October–April)
Outdoor clothing & footwear
- A warm, insulated jacket (down or synthetic)
- Thermal base layers (wool or technical materials)
- Mid-layers such as fleece or wool sweaters
- Windproof & waterproof outer pants
- Insulated winter boots with good grip
- Wool socks, thermal gloves, beanie, and a neck warmer
Extras to bring:
- Swimsuit (for your private outdoor hot tub)
- Sunglasses (yes, even in winter, the snow can be bright)
- Moisturizer and lip balm to protect against the dry Arctic air
- A reusable water bottle (tap water in Finland is wonderful)
For Autumn & Spring (September, May)
These seasons bring changing light, crisp air, and a mix of sunshine, mist, and occasional snow. Layering is key.
What to pack:
- Lightweight down or shell jacket
- Layers for warmth (wool or fleece)
- Waterproof footwear or hiking boots
- Hat and gloves (especially for chilly mornings and evenings)
For Summer (June–August)
Expect mild days, cooler evenings, and the magic of the Midnight Sun. Lapland’s summer is peaceful and green, with endless daylight.
What to pack:
- Comfortable clothes for layering
- Light jacket or sweater for evenings
- Good walking shoes
- Insect repellent (especially if exploring the forest trails)
Timeless Essentials Year-Round
Books, journals, or anything that helps you slow down.
- Swimwear – for the hot tub and sauna
- Comfortable indoor clothes – for cozy evenings with a view
- Camera or smartphone – to capture the northern lights, forest light, and quiet magic
- Adapters for European sockets (Type C or F) – if coming from outside Europe

We’re Here to Help
Our team is happy to answer any questions you might have before your arrival — whether you’re wondering about temperatures, footwear, or dinner dress codes (hint: we love relaxed elegance).
One last note: No need to overpack. Our glass apartments are thoughtfully equipped, and nature provides much of the magic. Just bring warm layers, an open mind, and perhaps a little extra space in your bag for memories made in the Arctic.
Welcome to Glass Resort
Let the adventure begin — softly, slowly, and wrapped in comfort.
